Todays #nikon #p1000 Mega zoom #test also serves as a little lesson on natural lighting and how the sun can be both friend and foe.
This video was shot shortly after sunrise but just outside of the golden hour, the morning as you will see is pretty clear but the sunlight, low in the sky does a number on the long distance zoom and as it becomes quite hard to make out Tiritiri Matangi Island and its lighthouse around 25KM in the distance.
Zooming over long distance can mean you may have to deal with multiple weather systems so its always handy to take your time of day and wider weather report into account before you set out.
