This Weeks #nikon #coolpix #p1000 ultra #zoom test is a scenic little view out to a sunrise over the top of Rangitoto here in Auckland.
As usual its important to remember that pointing your camera at the sun or looking at the sun with out some sort of protection is potentially detrimental to yourself and can even burn out some of your camera’s components.
Always use some sort of filter. Do what I say, not what I do. In this case there was a bit of cloud cover around, so the risk seemed minimal.
The Nikon P1000 is the perfect sort of long range camera for this sort of thing, with 125X optical zoom you can get up close and personal with the sun, moon or whatever astronomical figure your heart should desire, been seeing some great rocket launch videos of late.
