![Nikolas Sideris Superabimus for String Orchestra [live footage]
Superabimus was commissioned and premiered by Octava Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Johan Louwersheimer.
The title stands for We shall overcome in Latin and is a testament of the will humans have against all obstacles in their life. The harmonic language and lower string ostinati are a reminiscence of both Bernard Herrmann and Béla Bartók.
