I finally got all the collectibles and snagged the 100% trophy. Funny story, but I actually popped the trophy a little bit before 100%. I still had 10 collectibles to unlock from the chests (I got them anyway. I had enough maps lol). Rodrister on psnprofiles reported that the counter rounds up at 99.5% to make it 100% so that may be it. I wasn't paying attention to completion percentage when it popped, but just know that you can go without maybe 10 of them in your trophy hunt. I can imagine saving the epic chests for last being a pain which is why I did those first.
Lovely bonus content. Wish more games did fun stuff like this! If I had to name my favorites songs, I would say Mushroom Melody, Clouds Melody, the boss theme and Riptor's Rage Melody have to be my favorites!
For the record, the final boss has a hidden diamond in the stage for collecting all of the fireflies. I'm fairly certain no one expected that!
