Based on an excerpts taken from “Les crimes de l’armée française: Algérie 1954-1962” (Pierre Vidal-Naquet, 2001), this song focuses on the relationship between the french army and the Algerian population during the first days of the "Algerian War" in 1954.
Trying to enforce active cooperation, this official "appeal to the population" describes the Fellagas as "foreign agitators" and partisans of a communist plot orchestrated to wipe out the "french peace" in Algeria.
Algerians are then asked to leave their villages to reach the security zones set up by the French troops, before Sunday, November 21, 6PM.
