As NSW begins to experience more favourable conditions, land managers and fire agencies are undertaking more hazard reduction burns.

Last night, crews began work on a 245-hectare burn near Berowra Waters in Sydney's north. Reducing the fuel load in this area will protect a number of communities as well as provide firefighters with a strategic advantage in the event of a bush fire.

For information about hazard reduction smoke and an updated list and map of scheduled hazard reduction burns visit the RFS website.
