Global News | "Nightmare": Families of Nova Music festival victims gather at site to mark Oct. 7 attack @globalnews | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 4 days ago.
Thousands of Israelis gathered at the location of the Nova Music Festival on Monday to mark the first anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. The playback of the last track from the Nova party followed by a minute of silence to honour the memory of the victims.
Families of the victims expressed heavy emotions during the memorial, with one mother, Anat Goldstein-Magnezi, saying, "My son Amit was murdered here, he was 22, and he came to the Nova to dance, to enjoy his life. But Hamas murdered him."
"We didn't until now, we didn't believe until now what happened. It's like a dream. Like a nightmare," said the uncle of another deceased festival-goer.
