This here is a piano song I composed back in 2009 for a very special friend of mine.
Nevertheless, the track never got finished, and all I had was a rough demo recording of it. Time passed by... I slowly forgot how to play the song, and I never finished it...
Until today.
Today, I recovered this old track from the dust... and finally finished it. And not needed to say.... I'm really glad I did.

Anyway, I wanted to show it to you guys as well, so here it is!
Keep in mind, this is one of my very firsts 'serious' compositions, so it is very repetitive and simple. But I like it that way.
When composing it, all I had in mind was a scene of a green meadow in the afternoon, and a flower near a tree, letting its petals go away in the wind...
Thus, the original idea I had for the name of the track was something like "Petals" or "Flowers"... but I always felt it wasn't exactly the correct name for the track. It wasn't a name that would express the true essence of the scene I had in mind when composing it.
Anyway, I kept working on it, without knowing what its final name was going to be. I didn't think about it, I just concentrated in composing it, as I always do- and finally, when the track was finished, it suddenly came to me. The perfect name to express its essence.
"Dai" means "to be", and expresses exactly the feeling I was trying to express from the very beggining: the feeling of freedom, the feeling of trust and friendship, the feeling of simply "being", and flowing with the wind like those petals.
