The scam: Pet scammers post ads on Craigslist, pet sale sites, and phony websites with stolen pictures and animal descriptions. They attempt to get you to pay an adoption fee or some other payment amount to ship the pets to your location. The pets never come and it is all a scam. NEVER wire money for an animal online. Please consider adopting a pet from a shelter.
