In Nigeria, Tom Brown is one of those names everyone knows. But it’s more than just food.

In some communities affected by conflict, it can mean the difference between proper nourishment and malnutrition.

Together with the Nigerian Red Cross, we are supporting communities to prepare Tom Brown, a nutritious porridge made from local grains, helping improve the diets of young children.

Through training and community engagement, families are building the knowledge and capacity to address hunger and protect children’s nutrition for the long term.
