After finally defeating Jack for good, Emil and the protagonist release Kaine from her stone prison and she finally has been set free from the seal. Popola comes to the scene with an uncaring attitude and tells the party that Emil and Kaine must sleep outside the village because the people are scared of them. This pisses off the protagnist..really bad.")

Battle begins at 3:30.
In the village, Emil comes rushing into town warning the protagonist that a horde of Shades are about to attack the village. Shades break down the southern gate and begin attacking the villagers. After a few of them have been taken out, a massive colossus of a shade begins climbing over the walls and attacking the village. The entire party fights it off for a while and stops it just before it reaches the Library, where Yonah and other hiding villagers are at.")

In the Forest of Myth, the party finds the mayor of the town there. The mayor begins to talk to them and warns them of a disease that has been infecting his people called the Deathdream in which a person is trapped in his own dreams for eternity. The conversation strangely begins to narrate itself, and slowly consumes the screen. The protagonist and Weiss are sucked into the mayors dream and must figure out a way to save themselves from it. The dreams seem to be filled with riddles that open paths throughout the forest, and once solved, they eventually escape the dream and save the mayor. After thanking them, the mayor tells them that there are more people trapped in their dreams within the forest and that they must be saved as well. There also seems to have been a sealed verse in the forest, and it is obtained.")
