EX Battle: 24:47
Character Story: Reborn Automaton
This is a story of when the obedient soldier was discarded.
The man thought back on his orders to guard the royal boy,
of the boy trying to save the lives of his men, of the secret promise
they made as they fled the battlefield, and of the boy's unchanging
mercy in the face of war.
One by one, his memories vanished, leaving behind only darkness—
and a fleeting feeling in his chest he could not identify.
Weapon Story: Treason's Reward IV
There was once a clockwork soldier built for war. His king
desired to build a powerful army to make his country rich, so
the soldier was given a gun and ordered to see his wish done.
He fought in accordance with his king's orders. His aim never
missed, and his bullets pierced enemy armor with ease.
He gave no thought to himself, concerned only with the will of
his ruler.
Other clockwork soldiers fought with him, and they quickly
annihilated the enemy. He then sat alone, looking at his gun
and thinking of the king's will which was so near completion.
But then the king ordered him to shoot himself, for the data
determined he was an inferior model. Dismantled and
discarded as scrap, he became the foundation for the king's
desires.
