Disko Afrika started in August 2010 as Bali's first regular outdoor roots music event created with the intention of throwing a monthly beach party event focusing on music from the African continent as well as from the Afro-Caribbean that included zouk, kuduro, high life, kwaito, afro-beat, afro-disco, afro-house and a variety of other percussion inspired music.
