SCAD Savannah Film Festival Breakthrough Director Award honoree RaMell Ross ('Hale County This Morning, This Evening') discusses how film combines art forms into its own impactful medium. Ross wrote and directed 'Nickel Boys,' an adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, receiving Academy Award nominations for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay in 2025.
