A major family development has emerged in the murder case against Nick Reiner.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that Nick’s brother, Jake Reiner, and sister, Romy Reiner, testified before the grand jury that indicted him for allegedly murdering their parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and producer-photographer Michele Singer Reiner.
Because grand jury proceedings are secret, it remains unknown what Jake and Romy said or whether their testimony was incriminating. Their participation should not be interpreted as proof that they accused their brother of murder.
Nick has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder. The indictment also includes a lying-in-wait special circumstance that could expose him to life without parole or potentially the death penalty if convicted.
