In 1974, the music journalist Nick Kent wrote two now famous pieces for the New Musical Express (NME). The first - "The Cracked Ballad of Syd Barrett" was a search for what had happened to the reclusive Syd Barrett.
The second piece was a scathing review after he watched Pink Floyd play live "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and other newly written tracks from their forthcoming "Wish You were Here" album. The review resonated with the band.
The interview was for the documentary "The Story of Wish You Were Here"
