"I was doing Off-Broadway for a while and stepped into Hamilton for a couple weeks here and there, just trying to do our best. And this opportunity presented itself, and thank God it did," Christopher tells Playbill. Indeed, now the actor is Tony-nominated for Leading Actor in a Musical for Chess.
