In this video I am benchmarking the nibbling capabilities available in firmware version 3.x.y of IECHost, using a 1571 drive. As the stopwatch suggests, it takes roughly 14 seconds to nibble a 35-track disk side to NIB file. If the drive code is already resident in the drive's RAM, subsequent reads only take roughly 11 seconds.
