Playcrafting is teaming up with AR technology company Niantic, the creator of augmented reality hits like Pokémon GO and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, to launch a global AR software jam this summer.
Three events will take place around the world during the jam, which will run from July to September, with 15 teams of developers selected and paid to participate, receiving training in a workshop about the Niantic Lightship Augmented Reality Developer Kit (ARDK), and then creating their games and apps with the software development kit.
The event dates are:
US - July 6-12
EU - July 25-31
Japan - August 29-September 4
Niantic & Playcrafting will be hosting opening and closing streams for each jam to celebrate the participating teams and their creations.
