So I've recently gotten into sound modding. One of the first sounds I did was for the F1, because Ghost of course gave it some absolute bullshit, Lamborghini V12-sounding, piece of shit engine note. The F1 has such an iconic and beautiful engine sound, I could not believe Ghost fucked it up that badly when it first dropped, especially since they had a half decent sound in Rivals. I guess that's why they're no longer a studio

As such though, I've turned its sound from the one I probably hated the most in this game, to the one I now probably like the most, and therefore felt it was good enough to break my now 3-month video hiatus (doubt anyone cares but I literally have not had any video ideas in these last 3 months)

The engine and exhaust acceleration notes were extracted from NFS World, and the deceleration notes where taken from NFS Rivals. Although they're from 2 different sources, the notes all play very well with and complement eachother a lot better than I was expecting. Seriously, like that deceleration whine is just as fun to listen to as the acceleration

Now the sound isn't perfect, those with keen ears will probably hear distortion towards the higher RPMs and especially in the higher gears. Unfortunately I don't think I can help that, it seems to be the case for a lot of sounds from NFS World. I'm guessing the sounds were compressed to hell when input into their TMX containers, and so the missing samples play back as those distortions :(
