H SHIFTER + CLUTCH PEDAL

I found an app that has been completely forgotten by racing fans. It's called AL SHIFTER. It's a program that's been around for over 20 years, and was made to work with Act-Labs' steering wheel, shifter, and pedals. I found out that I can emulate the Act-Labs shifter by editing the registry.

Also, to emulate the H-shifter, you need a separate USB-connected H-shifter device on your PC. (I'd buying a PXN-A7 shifter for this test works) and it uses controller input numbers 1-8. You also need to edit the registry to replace the H-shifter with the Act-Labs shifter name.

The Clutch pedal emulation is more difficult and It's too long to write all the information here, so I'll do some more testing and research on some of the games supported by the AL Shifter app and then upload a tutorial video.

*The AL SHIFTER app supports sound playback when changing gears without pressing the clutch pedal, and I recorded the gear grinding sound in DiRT Rally 2.0 and edited it.

*-As you may know, NFS5 is not designed with the H-shifter and clutch in mind. Therefore, the H-shifter operation that is identical to the real thing is not possible. As you can see in the video, the neutral gear does not work properly, and the gear change is done by pressing the throttle or brake pedal after operating the gear lever, or when it is pressed.- I solved this issue .2024.12.27

*Also, according to the Act-Labs' manual, some games will lose their gear shifting motion or break replays because AL shifter app is don't follow the gear up/down inputs, and this video demonstrates the issue.
