Prior to the game, I felt the time was now to make a deal for Kurt Warner. In the loss to the Browns, it was obvious that I needed another weapon on offense for Manning, and with Shockey still out for weeks, Warner was expendable. I put together a trade for Shannon Sharpe and the Bears 2nd round pick for Warner and my 3rd round pick.
This game was always going to be a difficult one on the schedule Favre in Green Bay is always a challenge, and for a rookie QB and a depleted defense, then it kind of felt like I was playing with one hand behind my back.
