NFL 2K Superbowl 49ers Jaguars
In the first week of the season, I remember saying not to discount how good the Jaguars because at the time, they were easily one of the elite teams in the NFL. Now here we are, and we have a rematch of that week 1 game in the superbowl. Dan Stevens might say "you can't coach this", but you also can't script this.
A few things to keep an eye out for. Not until Kaepernick against the Ravens had a 49ers QB thrown a pick, so I was aware of that stat heading into the game. I didn't want Steve Young to have that on his record. The second is Jerry Rice; a win here would mean 6 rings! And oh yeah, the culmination of one of the great seasons of all time for the entire team.
The only thing standing in their way is the Jacksonville Jaguars. They have a potent offense with a great QB/ WR combination (Mark Brunell/ Jimmy Smith), plus Fred Taylor. I've done a good job in containing running backs all year, but there's been a few times that my pass defense hasn't lived up to expectations. This will be a true test.
All in all, this season was really fun considering how old the game was. I never played NFL 2K on the dreamcast, or even owned a Dreamcast prior to this year. At times the difficulty was far too easy, even on the highest level, but during the playoffs, it was a different game. It's also great to play as some of the legends who are now deservedly in the hall of fame. I'm excited to move on to NFL 2K1 and see if the franchise took a step forward. I'll be using the Colts and attempting to win a win with the second triplets (Manning, James, and Harrison). I'll also be continuing with the Bears Madden 07 franchise, so plenty more content is coming up!
