Round 2 vs mrdoognoog | Tennis Cup 5 Set 1

And with that, all my rounds for this match are public. This is probably the most important match in my roster thus far as I feel like it marked a pretty big turning point in my style, and it’s also currently my only tournament match, and my opponent was none other than mrdoognoog, a former fuck. I definitely think my round 6 for this match lives up to the importance this match has in my catalogue, but I deeeeefinitely can’t say the same for this round 2
I did a pretty bad job at responding to doog’s serve as I hardly even responded to it at all. Bunch of long segments that are pure added sources and don’t use the previous round at all, and a bunch of other segments where the previous round is still technically there but it’s all distorted, mangled, unrecognizable and merely serves as the background visuals that accompany my own ideas rather than doog’s
This is one of the worst rounds I’ve made and it’s pretty much *the* video of mine that I’m the most unwilling to ever return to, but I will say that not all of it is bad. I’m pretty proud of the visual work in the intro, the hand-drawn car driving segment that appears a little later, and uhhh…..yea that’s it, but the round also taught me a valuable lesson about tennis. In early 2023 I used to think that distorting the previous round to the point of unrecognizability or just straight up not using the previous round at all and adding excessively long segments of added sources, even if the previous round isn’t very visual-focused, was completely fine, and I suspect a former friend of mine kind of projected that mindset onto me. I like to think that this round and probably the match as a whole helped me abandon that mindset, and since then I’ve definitely cared more about how much of the previous round I use
This is probably the video of mine that I’m the most uncomfortable with and I never want to revisit it ever again, I’m only reuploading it for the sake of publicizing all my unlisted 2DUDO28 videos on this channel, so I won’t be providing a tracklist.
