The Owasso Police Department released body cam footage of a school resource officer's interview with Nex Benedict. In the video, the non-binary, 16-year-old's mother, Sue Benedict, says her child was bullied.

The following day, Sue called 911 to report that Nex was experiencing medical issues, including shallow breathing. They died that day.

Medical examiners are still completing their investigation into what killed the 16-year-old, but police said an autopsy determined Nex did not die as a result of trauma.
