The students at the Queens based Newcomers High School are immigrants from all over the world. They are all new to United States and New York City. This intimidating prospect is helped by the teachers at Newcomers, the school specializes their curriculum to help kids learn English.
The school fosters a safe community for kids to learn at the pace they need and prepare for college.
Shadman Ur Rabbi, who graduated in July and just started his freshman year at Stony Brook University, is hopeful about his future in America.
His American dream: a job at Google.
