I’m thrilled to share that "New World: Rise of the Angry Earth" is long-listed for the World Soundtrack Awards! One of my favorite tracks from the score, "Across the Divide," was inspired by my travels through tropical and exotic forests from Cambodia to Hawaii to Vietnam. I wrote the score across three countries and two continents, and sought the through the pungent ferns and thick brambles of some forests of Brittany, France to help paint the picture.
This piece features an eclectic mix of instruments, aiming to evoke a sense of voyage and discovery. From the soulful notes of the trumpet to the exotic tones of the oud and qanun, this track weaves a tapestry of sounds that transports listeners on their journey through the Divide, a much exciting dungeon in New World.
