President Trump signed an executive order at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston to begin forming the U.S. Space Academy, a national institution designed to train the next generation of the country’s space workforce. Unlike traditional service academies, the proposed school would prepare graduates for careers across the military, NASA and the civilian space industry. Trump also awarded the Artemis II crew the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.
