I've made a few pieces before for storing drill bits,
but the one I'm building today holds the bits in a completely new way.

This stand impresses with its simple,
refined look from the combination of walnut and metal,
and its defining feature is using small accessories
and magnets to let the drill bits float in mid-air.
Its biggest advantage is that you can leave enough clearance
to mount pretty much any size of drill bit however you like.

There seem to be endless variations you could build using a similar approach.
Feel free to use your imagination and come up with even more surprising designs of your own.
