You have probably all seen the news this week, that the six-tonne altar stone of Stonehenge came from the north of Scotland, not from the Marlborough Downs like the huge sarsen stones, and not from Wales, like the smaller bluestones.

Yes, the stone at the heart of Stonehenge came from 500 miles away, from the very north of Great Britain.

But how did it get there? On X this week, archaeologist Mike Pitts said it was "impossible" the stone was a glacial erratic, and therefore it must have been moved 500 miles by humans. But is the correct? Can such a bold statement be made? Watch this video to learn more.
