New Species of Pink Dolphin. A new species of Amazon River dolphin has been identified by scientists through genetic testing. There are now 3 distinct species. Similar to marine dolphins, these pink dolphins or botos are adapted to live exclusively in freshwater. Enhanced sonar and smaller eyes are some of their traits that help out in muddy water with poor visibility.
