I needed some small desk speakers and went with the trendy @CreativeLabs Pebble V3. No subwoofer. As a self proclaimed audiophile, these aren’t going to stun you sonically. But that’s not the point, IMO, there benefit is the small size and aesthetic while still being a decent set of speakers for daily tasks when you don’t want to wear headphones.
A little bg music while you work? Perfect. Discord notification, or watching a tutorial on YouTube? Perfect. Playing a lil chill Minecraft? Perfect.
Watching a movie? Pass. Playing the latest RPG? I’d stick with headphones for the immersion, but the Pebble ‘might’ work. Competitive FPS games? Headphones obviously.
Stick with headphones for superior audio quality, but when the audio is secondary for the task at hand, the Pebble is actually pretty nice 🙌
