In a new book, about HBO, George R.R. Martin's agent revealed he would fly to New York, and beg HBO executives to make more seasons of Game of Thrones. According to his agent, Paul Haas, George wanted 10 seasons, but showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said, No! I believe this is one of the many things that led to a falling out between George R.R. Martin and David and Dan.
