This is a teaser for an upcoming "sequel series"* to SM64: Fate of the World that takes place during the "present" in the timeline, about a year after the events of FOTW.

In this series, Super and his team set out to purify the worlds beyond the mysterious Dark Painting, much to some people's dismay.
In this teaser, Super faces off against one of these people.

*Please keep in mind that this is but a proof of concept, I still believe we are far out from actual episodes of this series premiering (I still have an entire separate series to finish!!). This is really just to get an idea of what's happening in the present day of the timeline.
