NEW Season 3 Events & Free Rewards for MW2 & Warzone 2!
In this video I wanted to take a look at some of the upcoming events and free rewards that will be available during Season 3 of MW2 and Warzone 2 so let's not waste any time and jump straight into it.
In an attempt to claw back some of the player base that’s stopped playing Warzone 2 over the last couple of months, Call of duty is doing this thing during season 3 called recruit a friend.
The way it works is basically you can invite up to 3 different friends who either have an activision account that is less than 7 days old or who hasn’t played warzone in the last 60 days to then jump on and play warzone 2 to unlock some exclusive rewards.
So once you’ve invited someone who meets that criteria and you’re partied up in Warzone 2 there will be multiple different challenges you can work towards together to unlock rewards such as weapon blueprints, double xp tokens, calling cards and emblems.
Now unfortunately for me and i’m sure some of you as well there is a list of countries where this offer doesn’t apply so can’t unlock the rewards, I’ll chuck that list up on screen right now so you can see for yourself.
Now moving on, At 10am PST on the 14th of April which is 2 days after season 3 starts a new event called Trophy Hunter will begin inside of both Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2.
During this event you basically have to collect these trophy coins that will be dropped by players when you kill them or you can pick them from loot crates and stuff like that and you pretty pretty much have to collect enough coins to then be able to purchase rewards from the trophy hunter events tab in the main menu.
This morning blog post mentioned there will be blueprints, vehicle skins, battle pass tokens and even operator skins to unlock from this which I think sounds bloody cool.

Now similar to what we saw with part 2 of the path of the ronin, There is also going to be another Camo Challenge Event which will start with Season 3 Reloaded.
We didn’t get any teasers or have any idea what the camo reward will be but i imagine it won’t take leakers in the community very long to find out what the theme of the event will be.
On the DMZ Side of things a brand new faction which is actually called redacted is being added to the mode which brings new missions and rewards with it. There’s 5 tiers of missions total, 3 of them will be available at the start of season 3 and the other 2 will be added with season 3 reloaded.
And in DMZ all of the factions that you might not have completed yet will not be getting reset so there will be those still on offer to unlock during Season 3 plus all the rewards you can unlock from extracting all of the different weapon cases.
As usual there will be multiple free rewards to unlock through the battle pass and also with another 200 levels being added to the game there will also be a new blueprint reward for reaching max prestige level 13 during the season 3.
For multiplayer there will be a bunch of new rewards for ranked play which looks to include new skill division themed weapon charms plus new rewards for getting a total amount of wins.
For 5 wins you can unlock the season 3 competitor sticker, for 10 wins the pro issue tac56 blueprints, 25 wins for the top dog weapon charm, 50 wins for the tippable weapon vinyl, 75 wins for the ranked play season 3 loading screen and 100 ranked wins will reward you with the ranked play veteran camo that can be used on any weapon
Finally happening around the same time as Season 3 the CDL have announces new viewership rewards for the Major 4 Tournament. There’s a blueprint, 3 or 4 calling cards and heaps of Double XP tokens you can unlock for free.
