Noemi Florea (BFA Integrated Design & BA Environmental Studies '23) is the founder LÆRO Design Studio and creator of Cycleau. Cycleau is a compact gray water treatment system that recycles water close to where it's used. Cycleau can be retrofitted into buildings to recycle gray water into drinking water, which Noemi was inspired to design after seeing the impact of contaminated water on communities needing to choose between paying more for contaminated water or losing access to water at home.
Noemi studied in the BA/BFA program at The New School, which allows students to obtain a BA degree from Eugene Lang College and a BFA from either Parsons School of Deisgn or the College of Performing Arts. Her work was originally supported by grants from The New School.
