When I started looking for a lithium battery to upgrade my RV 12 volt system, I quickly realized that there are few that would work in my original RV battery box. Once I purchased the new jsdsolar 400ah battery, I then found that there aren’t a lot of battery box options that are big enough to hold the battery yet small enough to fit in the available space on the tongue of my RV. The battery box I purchased is an aluminum, powder coated, locking tool box. This tool box is sturdy enough to securely hold the battery, it has a sealed lid to help keep it dry inside and it has a nice powder coat finish.
I usually wouldn’t consider using treated wood for a project like this, however, this RV only gets rained on while camping which is only a few weeks and weekends a year. I feel confident that the treated wood used as a support will last for years.
