Finally got my hands on the Rhode Tinted Peptide Lip Treatments!
I was super excited for these because I had heard that the brand fixed the graininess issue, but I’m sad to say, that’s not the case. My shade Espresso arrived grainy, and I’ve heard from multiple content creators that more of the lip treatments turned grainy after being open for a few days. Really bummed that Rhode hasn’t figured out how to stabilize the formula.
When the formula isn’t grainy, however, I love it, and it’s one of my favorite lip balms. I love that it’s a slightly thinner formula, but it has a lot of grip to it, so it doesn’t slide around and it lasts a decent amount of time. It feels SO good on the lips.
The formula also provides my favorite experience for a lip product: it smooths lip lines. I LOVE a lip product with a glass-like shine that softens the appearance of lip lines, both with the inclusion of peptides in the formula and with the shine on the lips.
These are unscented and all four shades are gorgeous! I think the shade range was very well-thought-out, providing colors that work on all skin tones. Personally, I would’ve loved to see these have a little bit more pigment, but that’s just me being picky.
Overall, I adore these and I would LOVE to see Rhode expand into makeup. I just wish they’d fix the stability issue that causes the graininess in the lip treatments.
