Hey all!
Every month, The New York Times publishes a list of notable new releases. This February, there are 27 books. Some feel inevitable. Some feel strange. Many I had never heard of before.
In this video, I go through all 27 and talk about what they are, what they seem to be doing, and which ones quietly caught my attention.
I’m always interested in these lists as cultural artifacts. They reveal what’s being elevated, what themes are circulating, and what kinds of stories are being positioned as important right now.
If you like staying aware of new literary releases, building a thoughtful TBR, or just observing the ecosystem of contemporary publishing, I hope this gives you something to think about.
Let me know which of these you’re most curious about.
