It's time to venture back to the 1500s, but this time in Italy! I have been inspired by the costuming in The Borgias, plus all the glorious plus size women in Italian Renaissance art, to create an early 1500s Italian Renaissance gown. I will be wearing this at the Washington Midsummer Ren Faire, as well as to Springfield Castle in Ireland.

This week, we will be mocking up the bodice, and testing fabrics to use for the gown.
