Humane Canada is proud to have been the animal welfare organization invited to participate in Justice Canada’s roundtables for Bill C-16, the Protecting Victims Act.
Before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights, we shared our expertise on the Violence Link: the well-established connection between human violence and animal abuse.
The bill has now been reprinted with key amendments and presented to the House of Commons for third reading.
Next, the bill must pass a House of Commons vote before moving to the Senate.
