An ambitious concept, eight songs, each 8 minutes long. Each song consists of several different parts. I was not just trying to do blowup “extended editions” of shorter songs, but really trying to fill these songs with a meaningful dramaturgy, long intros, different drum patterns, time signature changes, while making sure that in the end everything works as a unit and isnt just stitched together individual parts – to my surprise – it worked.
“New Eden” has this great buildup, almost reminiscent of 70ies progressive rock, just with electronic means. I am particularly happy with the lyrics and vocals which change styles several times over the course of those 8:45 minutes and culminates in an epic finale Martin Sane/Fïx8:sëd8
