This is the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 Energy, a new lower energy use version of the Pilot Sport 5.
It doesn't replace the Pilot Sport 5, it's a complimentary product designed prioritizes energy consumption for those who still want a sporty tyre.
According to Michelin's own data, it has a similar dry performance to the pilot sport 5, gives up between 5-8% in the wet, but it has over a 20% improvement in rolling resistance or energy use. But most importantly, look at it. They've even got the high contrast IN THE TREAD PATTERN.
