Behold, the all-new Mazda CX-6e: a sharp-looking electric SUV that's gunning for the Tesla Model Y, Skoda Enyaq and Audi Q4 e-tron, to name just a few of its highly regarded rivals.
Known as the Mazda EZ-60 in China, it certainly cuts a dashing figure (for a mid-size SUV), plus it’s spacious and features plenty of technology. However, despite using a fairly sizable 78kWh battery, the CX-6e only offers 300 miles of range – less than the entry-level Tesla Model Y – and that’s not the car’s only potential shortcoming.
We won’t have a chance to drive the Mazda CX-6e until later this year, but in the meantime, our man Ellis went to check it out in a studio to see if the Tesla Model Y should be nervous or not…
