In this no commentary gameplay showcase, I cover Mario Kart World Ver. 1.6.0 and its newly added Bob-omb Blast Battle mode, with matches played across all available Battle Arenas.
Bob-omb Blast is a new Battle mode added in version 1.6.0 where the objective is to pop your opponents’ balloons using nothing but Bob-ombs. Unlike the regular battle rules, every item is a Bob-omb, you can stack up to 10 at once, and the throwing distance changes depending on how long the L Button is held, which gives the mode a much more aggressive and explosive gameplay flow than standard Balloon Battle or Coin Runners.
This video gives a full hands-on showcase of the mode by playing through all eight available Battle Arenas: Mario Bros. Circuit, Moo Moo Meadows, Peach Stadium, Salty Salty Speedway, Chain Chomp Desert, Dino Dino Jungle, Big Donut, and DK Pass. That makes it a useful complete look at how Bob-omb Blast feels across the full arena lineup, whether you want a clean update overview, a battle mode reference, or a straightforward arena-by-arena showcase.
If you want to see every detail of Update 1.6.0, including additional feature changes and bug fixes, you can read the full official patch notes here:
