New M82 Motorway Section Opens for Free Trial

Motorists will soon be able to use a new 16.4-kilometre stretch of the M82 motorway between Ekachai and Ban Phaeo as part of a free public trial. The elevated section connects with the existing Bang Khun Thian-Ekachai route, creating roughly 25 kilometres of continuous motorway above the busy Rama II corridor. Speed limits will apply, while motorcycles, bicycles and several other vehicle types will be prohibited. Toll collection is not expected to begin until 2029.
