Feast your eyes on the epic Grand Finale, Track #8 of The "NEW!" K'nex Mario Kart Christmas Ultimate Package 2024!
This is it, this is the BIG ONE! The only track in the package to have a coinciding stop-motion animated story!
The story follows two close friends, Tanto64 and K'nexinator41, as they go outdoors and use K41's laptop a magical computer software to build the most awesome track ever! The two have lots of fun going head-to-head against one another, but things take a turn for the worst once Bowser and Bowser Jr. come across K41's laptop and start to mess around with the software...
This was *BY FAR* the most ambitious project of the year and took about 5 months to make! I had to do quite a lot of pondering, writing, and rewriting, as well as a very lengthy production and post-production process!
One of the new things I experimented with a lot was green screening/chroma keying character and/or their faces onto the scene, and I even used these techniques to stitch two scenes together (particularly the shot with Bowser and Bowser Jr. facing away from the camera to look at the track).
What I ultimately wanted was to make a slice-of-life story about two friends going out into the world to do fun, exciting things together. And with this video, I think it's safe to say I was able achieve just that!
