Kias drive towards sustainable mobility marks a new era for innovation inspired by nature.
We understand that renewable energy is about more than just building electric cars. Our development of hydrogen fuel cell technology for FCEVs, alongside the goal of ensuring all Kia manufacturing plants run on renewable energy, is a major part of our move towards carbon neutrality.
In developing the Kia EV9, we believed in Opposites United: overcoming the conflict between nature and machines through innovation and moving towards truly sustainable driving. As part of our work with The Ocean Cleanup, we are utilising upcyclable materials such as recycled fish nets and plastic bottles for our newest models, including the Kia EV9. We even intend to completely phase out leather for our interiors, with the EV9 using 100% vegan leather.
