Extra mushroom in maze allows full breaks of Hell and Heaven. Some notes:
Must take intentional death at the start of Hell. If resuming from the midway in Heaven, an alternate strategy is necessary. I will upload it in the next video. The floor clip is probably easier as small mario since you can more easily control his position. Since you'll probably grab the midway, it'd be best to take damage from the first koopa in the clouds.

Despite having to take the longer maze route to get a mushroom, it still saves the time of an extra exit, plus the entire boss rush and yellow switch palace. This saves somewhere around 7 minutes on the 100% route. Note that by doing this, Bowser will have to be beaten either first try or with one less powerup than the 100% route. However, this is technically NOT the fastest way to beat the game as the maze can be beaten about 3 minutes quicker without getting a reserve mushroom at the end (you wouldn't be able to break Hell or Heaven). Additionally, by breaking Heaven in this way and not relying on a P-switch, a huge time-consuming pseudo-random element is removed from the run, making it considerably more marathon safe. That trick will always work as long as the switch begins in the "OFF" position. Special thanks to y2ordi for discovering the initial Heaven break, I simply took a more easy/fast/safe path in the second half.
