In this Jedi Survivor news update video we breakdown the new Jedi Survivor Jedi Chamber gameplay that revealed some exciting hidden details from the gameplay trailer we got at The Game Awards. We now have confirmation that there will be a Jedi Chamber located within Rambler’s Ranch and will be a part of the sequence where Cal Kestis is battling Rayvis and his Bedlam Raider foot soldier. This has left us wondering if this will be the mandatory Jedi Chamber that the Respawn devs confirmed would be in the game and if this might be where Cal Kestis uses the mysterious device to locate and release the High Republic Jedi. This gameplay was a part of the IGN Fan Fest and IGN First coverage of Star Wars Jedi Survivor throughout the month of February.
The IGN First coverage also provided so many great new Jedi Survivor lightsaber combat gameplay details and information about the new skill tree in Jedi Survivor. The articles confirmed that each of the lightsaber combat stances in Jedi Survivor will be getting their own unique skill tree and that there will be a skill tree for both force abilities and for survival skills. This brings the total number of skill trees in Jedi Survivor to at least seven! This information comes on the heels of a Jedi Survivor gameplay trailer that showcased brand new gameplay for lightsaber combat in the game. This gameplay also showcased a more in depth look at 4 of the 5 combat stances in the game and our first real good look at the cross guard lightsaber combat stance in Jedi Survivor. However, we still have not gotten to see the blaster combat stance gameplay for Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
This is just the beginning of the marketing cycle for Jedi Survivor as IGN has promised that we will be getting more exclusives, new gameplay, and interviews about Jedi Survivor throughout the rest of the month. Additionally, IGN released a new Jedi Survivor lightsaber combat breakdown video and article as a part of their IGN First coverage of Jedi Survivor. Up until now all we have had for Jedi Survivor was the teaser trailer released at Star Wars Celebration and the Gameplay Trailer at The Game Awards.
Throughout that new gameplay trailer we got such a great insight into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We finally discovered who the person in the bacta tank: a former Jedi from the High Republic Era who appears to serve as the main villain of Jedi Survivor. We got our first look at new gameplay including the new lightsaber fighting styles and new force abilities. We also got our first look at the new planets and locations in the game and how much larger and more populated they are compared to the planets and locations in Jedi Fallen Order.
The Game Awards was already set to be an incredibly exciting show this year, especially with the hotly contested Game of the Year showdown between Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West, and God of War: Ragnarok. Now it has become even more exciting as we got the new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor!
